  • The age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01-01-2020 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2002).

Following are the steps to apply for SSC CHSL apply online form 2020 are as follows:-

Note:- Before going to the application process of  Exam form, candidates are advised to keep below mention details handy:-

  • Mobile number ( will be verified by OTP)
  • Email ID ( will be verified by OTP)
  • Class 10 & 12, Roll Number and Year of Passing.
  • Aadhaar Number/ PAN/ Passport/ Driving License or School / Voter ID Card/ Employer ID (The candidates will be required to show the original document at a later stage).
  • Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with a disability.
  • Scanned Colour copy of recent Passport Size Photo & Sign.

Step 1:- SSC One Time Registration 2020

  • Visit the Official Website ssc.nic.in
  • Click on the New User? Register Now link. The following window will appear on your screen.
  • SSC CHSL Apply Online
  • Fill your Aadhaar number or any other photo ID proof number, Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s name, date of birth, Class 10 board name, roll number and year of passing, gender, level of education, permanent address, mobile number, and email ID.
Note:- Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.
  • Enter the OTPs which is sent to your mobile number and email ID to confirm your Registration.
  • The Registration No/ User will be sent on your mobile or email.

Step 2:- Upload Photo or Sign

  • After the completion of the first step, candidates are required to log in again and have to upload scanned images of their recent passport size photograph and signature in the application as mention in the above specification.
  • The Registration process is complete after the upload of images.

Step 3:- Apply For SSC CHSL Form 2020

Click on apply and fill the application form by entering

  • Category, Nationality and Visible identification mark, if any
  • Fill your medium of typing test and 3 exam center city in order of preference
  • Click on I Agree/ Accept Button
Before submission of the online application, candidates must check that they have filled correct details in each field of the form. After submission of the online application form, no change/ correction/ modification will be allowed under any circumstances. 

Step 4:- Pay Application Fee

  • Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. (Online/Offline Both are Available)
The registered candidates are advised to take the print out of the application form for future reference.

Application fees For Online Form    : 

  • Fee payable: Rs 100/- (For General Category & OBC)
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of a fee. (SC/ST/PwD/ESM Candidates:- Nil)

Note:- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Tier-II Exam Pattern

  • Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in „Pen and Paper‟ Mode. The duration of the Descriptive Paper will be for one hour.
  • The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/ Application of approximately 150 200 words.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent.

Tier-III Exam Pattern

  • The Tier 3 Exam consists of a couple of skill tests that are required as per government posts requirement.
  • Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
